One of my first favourite toys, when I was just little, was a dead bat. Mum or Dad had found it expired somewhere, and showed it to me so we could have a good look to see how the wings worked, and to feel the fur. I kept it for days, dressing it up and putting it to bed on top of the fridge each night. One morning it had mysteriously dissapeared... finally past it's window of being an acceptable play thing I suspect.

The aesthetic and the texture of fading glamour, or eroding beauty, and sentimental melancholy are my focus.... while creating character, life and humour.
